Hi all,

Just after a few pointers on how to prep a concrete floor for ceramic tiling. Its a 1900 house, downstairs wc measuring 2mx1.3m.

Floor is damaged in areas where redundant piping is visible and where the old wc pan used to sit before removal near the drain point. Should I rake out the old damaged material near the wall and repair the concrete before using a self level. Sealing the edges of the room and damning the door before using the level. Does that sound about right and if so would it be a mortar mix I go for -for the repairs?

Many thanks

I'd fill those with grit sand and cement mix at about 4-1. It looks pretty level already.
