Hi
I'm going to lay a concrete path and not sure if dpm is required, and what mix ratio should be used? Any advice would be appreciated
thanks

No need for dpm.

Mix the conc at six parts ballast to one cement.

Don't allow the concrete to dry out too quickly.

Thanks for the replies

I have some old rubble made up of gravel, stone chippings/dust of varying sizes.

Would it be ok to add this to the mix when doing the concrete?

Yes, provided it is not contaminated and that it does not provide you with a mix that is devoid of 'fat'.

Dont use it if there is any plaster in it and only use it as a small proprtion of the ballast. It tends to suck up water and make a weak concrete if you use too much of it
