Hi - 2 years ago I had a single storey extension built at the rear of my house. I have noticed a gap has formed underneath the skirting board at one end, approx 5mm (at the end furthest away from the original property). I’m guessing this indicates the slab has settled at one end?
There are no cracks visible in the floor (Vinyl tile covering). Can anyone suggest what would be the best cause of action, should I monitor the gap and see if it gets worse over the next few months or get a structural engineer out?
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
