Hello everyone.
I recently upgraded to a larger home. The house boasts a very impressive front entry and porch. However, the previous owners did a really blah job on the walkway leading to the front steps. They simply poured a new concrete driveway, making the walkway a part of it.
The walkway has a slight grade leading up to the front stairs. The concrete is less than a year old so its in good shape. Haven't measured the grade yet but plan to. My plan is to terrace the walkway so that it becomes an extension of the front steps.
My question is, must I remove the existing concrete walkway and pour an entire new one along with steps or can I simply form the new terraced walkway over the existing concrete, anchoring it somehow?
BTW, I am a pretty experienced DIYer with some experience pouring concrete.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Alex
