Hi all.
Is it possible/advisable to run the condensate pipe directly from my boiler to discharge into the top of the in use washing machine standpipe/trap?
At the moment the condensate feeds into a pump directly below the boiler then is pumped up and over and out of the house.
I've had a bit of work done recently and now, if possible, i could 'just' divert the condensate pipe from the pump approx' 12" to the washing machine waste.
Your thoughts please?

Thanks

My condensate pipe is installed the way you want and I have had no issues.

Thanks, although I have just been told it is a gas safe engineer job to do it!
Will speak to the company that fitted the boiler.

Absolutely no issue at all, in fact that also provides the condi run with the air gap that a lot of 'installers' don't provide

Typically I use a saddle clamp on the side of the stand pipe and attach the condensate to that, that then still allows the drain hose to be run up and over into the top using the former
