can anyone confirm if there is any reason the boiler condensate pipe can't be run inside the house? I've just been told it should go outside but that seems dumb as it involves 6ft run along the outside wall to the nearest drain, while there is a machine waste about 1.5ft directly below it inside :/

I know people who have it go to the nearest sink so that it doesn't keep freezing up. You would think it's better to have the drain away inside. I don't know the reason why so many have them outside, I belive the waste is slightly acidic, but can it be more harmful than the bleach and all the other stuff that goes down there?

If your installer wants to put the pipe outside when you can run it internally or to a waste that is very close, then I would look for another installer..
