Why are some manufacturers stating that flue should be installed horrizontal.

Our fitter who works with our team, fitted a logic and when engineer came to rectify a problem due to customer turning off flow and return, thinking it was filling loop. He said the flue is wrong is shouldn't have fall to boiler??
Why? Even if flue has internal fall what problem is gonna arise from installing it with fall to boiler?
The condensate needs to run into boiler so what's the problem?

I agree with you mate, tho should there be any warranty issues, firms may say screw you, its not fitted in accordance with our instructions.

Because MIs mostly state a 1.5 degree fall back to Boiler, this is why I always carry a Theodolite around with me to be able to get this fall absolutely correct....... bit like skilled Buiders and Datums for drain runs.

This is why us Plumbers are fairly expensive because of the expensive equipment.
