I have condensation on the walls at the front of the house everytime there is a very cold morning.I`ve been told the house is sold brick so i can`t have insulation pumped in and i must put in an air brick plus put insulation on the inside bricks once i take off plaster(then replaster over the insulation). Is this correct?

you need more ventilation, and less moisture.

does anybody ever leave wet washing about the house? find the source of moisture, and stop doing it.

A few airbricks, and an extractor in the bathroom, will cost you a lot less than replastering the walls, so leave that till last (if you do it at all)

Ventilation takes the moisture away.

Insulating the walls will not take the moisture away, it will just move it to the next coolest surface.

Hi, J.P.
There have been a lot of postings on condensation and perhaps you should read up on them.
Although these post on condensation are correct you can take practical steps to reduce the occurance and it's consequences.
think of a cold glass of beer, with the liquid condensing out of the air surrounding it. (I realise there will be postings about drinking it etc now)
If you coated the outside of the glass with expanded polystyrene then the surface would not be cold due to the layer of air trapped in the ex-p
and there would be no problem.
So covering your outside walls in ex-p lining paper and and blown vynil over that will help a lot.
Yo do need to look at why the air in your house is at saturation point though, and practical solutions like reducing the possible sources of moisture and more ventilation can and will help.
