My groundfloor 1870 very high ceiling and large window flat has metal framed windows which cause a great deal of condensation. The windows are stone framed with stone mullions. The interior painted stone has very bad black mould.
There is also rising damp in the corner bedroom.
If I replace crital windows for double glazing, are the stone frames and mullions still going to cause condensation or let in water from outside? Should/could they be boxed in to prevent condensation and to get over the problem of black mould?
Box in with UPVC? Plasterboard?
