Condensation without air gap

Hello...

I am looking for a solution to a specific condensation and wardrobe issue. I am planning to fit a 2500mm a free-standing wardrobe against two outside walls that are known to suffer from condensation (that I typically control with a dehumidifier). The wardrobe would only be able to sit around 20-25mm from the wall (space restrictions) which would almost certainly cause condensation (and mould) to build up behind the wardrobe. My thought was to apply a sheet of foil-backed insulation board (e.g. Celotex) direct between the wardrobe and wall leaving no gap. Does anybody have any constructive ideas on this plan of attack?

Thanks for the reply.

Do you think that tightly packed rockwool instead of insulation board would still work (it may be slightly more practical than board)?
