conduit routing around doorway

When arranging conduit to run a 2.5mm T/E cable around the top of a door way, it's occurred to me that it's going to be nigh on impossible for someone, at a future date, to pull any kind of replacement through such a tortuous route ( four 90 degree bends)

I can't see how plastic can offer much mechanical protection either - so why am I using it? Does plaster react with cable insulation?

you cannot run cable out of the safe zones without either an earthed metal layer or mechanical protection (or unreasonablly deep burrial but we won't go there). Plastic conduit does not provide either.

I would suggest putting a socket either side of the door then going up into the safe zone near the ceiling and accross up there, if you are going to use conduit (which is good for rewires and modifications) use conduit singles not T&E they are much much easier to pull through.

If you don't care about ease of adding/replacing wiring then use capping if the wall is still to be plastered and nothing at all if you are digging channels in existing plaster, either way rememeber to stay in the safe zones.

So - If I add two extra sockets either side of each doorway to create a vertical safe zone at the side of each door - that just leaves me with the problem of how to go across the top of the door when I have the absence of the usual 150mm ceiling safe zone - will that zone be diagonal (following the sloping roofline of the conservatory) in my case?

is there no way at all to put the wiring up into the roof void?

or even under the floor?
 
The diagram is of the back wall of the house, as viewed from the inside of a new conservatory. So there's no roof void as such, just some PVC framework.

There's a floor slab but I understand that to route channels through this I'd need to use earthed metal conduit.

You do not need to use an earthed metal conduit if buried in the screed of the floor, i personally would go that route, either run one plastic conduit to the left socket from your original socket then across to the right socket. Or run 2 plastic conduits one to each socket from your original point.

Mmm interesting. How deep would the conduit need to be burried? The slab is 10cm thick, so I wouldn't like to go too deep.
