what the hell for?

a context to what you are trying to do would be helpfull..

the best way is to use henley blocks since they are designed for connecting cables together..

are we to assume then that it's for connecting a oven and a hob to a 6mm feed?

have you checked that the feed is big enough for the oven and hob together?

does the oven specify a 16A feed?

what size breaker do you have in the board for it?
how is the cable run? and how far? through any insulation etc..

AMprof, with respect to the replies you had, you didnt give much information.

If you had said something like:

"I need to connect two 6mm cables, one to feed a hob and one to feed an oven, onto the existing 6mm feed from the cooker switch.
Whats is the best way to connect the cables?!

Then people would know what you are trying to do.

You may have wanted to join three pieces of 6mm armoured cable in a garden, or join the cable in a wall, or in a loft.

All of these have different solutions.
