1. it'll be a new cooker.

2. it'll be installed in a BTL property (in Scotland.)

3. the connections are present as per pic below.

4. curry's (where i'll be buying cooker from) want £80 to install inclusive of gas appliance installation certificate. is this not a bit steep/expensive?

5. can i legally install this myself? conflicting views on different websites, some say yes some say no. curry's say 'no' so i'm kind of assuming i can't install myself?

In spite of the install being relatively simple in pure physical terms, you will need to certificate to ensure you are fully covered as a landlord renting out a property.

If you were to install yourself and something went wrong in the future, you would be fully liable for damages/injuries etc.

Yeah valid points, thanks for reply. Whilst i have the skills to install it i'll keep myself right and a pro in ;)
