Evening all

I'm 80% of the way through getting our new Insinkerator food disposal unit installed.

As part of the install, I took the opportunity to replace the 15 year old p-trap with a new McAlpine unit.
The challenge I've got is that the drain outlet on the Insinkerator is probably 15-20mm lower than the side inlet on the main waste.

Unfortunately I can't drop the outlet bottom left, but I could drop the u-bend down I guess...

I'm wondering if something like this would be suitable for making the 90 degree turn: http://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine-flexicon4-flexible-connector-white-40-x-157-242mm/86386

For reference, the top down view is:

Thoughts?

Cheers

Bloody awful things, food waste should never be put down the sink, the sewers are not a waste disposal service.

I doubt you'll get rid of it now you've bought it, so I'd suggest separate traps on each sink and common the wastes together lower down, unless a proprietary waste is available for that arrangement. Putting a flexi waste on that is asking for trouble.
