Have got some double and triple dimmers. Each module just has a common and an L1 and L2.

The way my lighting is wired then both the neutral and live comes into the lightswitch back-box. The live needs to be switched with the dimmer, but the neutral wires need to join inside the back box. Some connecting strip would do the job, but I'm guessing they probably don't like that inside a lightswitch box. what else is there that does the same job but is compliant? Maybe something better insulated.

It's all plastered in now so not possible to put junction boxes in and just have the common and switched live coming into the lightswitch.

Any ideas? Thanks

As ban says, you need more than 16mm when you've got a dimmer, let alone a 2G or 3G dimmer.

Especially where you have terminations in the box too!
