connecting to my pc from other location vpn

ok ican connect from my laptop ,on wireless in my hose no prob but when i go up my mates it wont have it....

It depends on what security is in place. For example, his encryption keys will (if they are installed) be different from yours. He might also be filtering the wireless adaptors.

You would need to provide full details of each network to get a reasonable answer.

i can surf the web from his wifi but cant understand not being able to connect to remote desktop...cant realy explain !!!!

You need to open port 3389 on your router and forward it to the PC you wish to control.
