I've been getting conflicting infomation about what type of fans i need for my bathroom refits, and am obviously hoping some of you can put me on the right track.
I am about to start refitting a shower/cloakroom on the ground floor and a bathroom directly above it on the first floor, both of which are windowless and have no outside walls around them. They are vented by 3 inch diameter ducting that runs vertically up through the centre of the house and up through a second floor bedroom then the attic, exiting out the roof, a length of about 7-8 meters. I'm hoping to fit over shower fans that'll run about a meter horizontally over the ceiling to the main vertical shaft.
Question being, do i fit one or two fans. If one, then where in the run is best place to fit it, and if two, similar question but also will they interfere with each other (i.e would the lower extractor blow into the upper vent rather than vertically to the roof and out?).
Any other recommendations as to types and makes or voltage would be gratefully recieved.
