    Hi all

Will be fitting an alarm at home (Texecom Premier Elite 24 Metal) and wanted to know what was best to use for the daisy chain of the tamper loop. Is there anything better/neater then a strip of connector blocks?

    Thanks

have you wired the system yet? the modern way is not to have a daisy chain of tamper loops, zones can be wired EOL now, read the supplied instructions for more details

At present 6-core has just been run to each room where PIR/Door contact is needed, along with 2 for SAB

in that case connect EOL, no need for a global tamper loop

Thanks, I'll get some resistors on order.

    Is using EOL better?

resistors come supplied with a new panel or a resistance is selectable via jumpers directly in the PIR's (dependant on PIR's bought)

Advantage of EOL, uses less cores (2 to a contact, only 4 for a PIR), easier to fault find in the event of a fault on the tamper loop, and a tamper loop fault wont stop you setting the system, which with a global tamper fault would be a problem, also neater in the panel.

Will most likely be the Texecom Premier Elite, but open to suggestions
