A boiler surveyor accidentally broke the chip board in the conservatory and when I lifted the floor, saw the amount of floor damage there is. What should I do now?
Also would be helpful if advice on installing new layers of flooring (such as a new membrane etc- if it’s needed) is given. I’m unsure what kind of layers go into conservatory flooring, so please kindly direct me to some helpful sources.

I have also included the roofing as there’s mould there too, just in case it’s useful.

Many thanks.

That chipboard is full of damp. Needs uplifting and throwing in the bin then we can look at the sub floor under that.

Could be you have had a long term leak. could be the chipboard was laid onto damp concrete when the conservatory was built.

Thanks for the reply. Will get rid of the flooring.

Not much is known about the conservatory as it came with the house. The previous owners seemed to have no problem with the conservatory as it was liveable (furniture and appliances in the conservatory) but we’ve never been able to make it a liveable space due to its coldness.

diynewtothis, good evening.

As above that Chip board is shot.
Do you know what is below the Chip board? a solid concrete slab? or is the floor suspended on timber joists?
How much condensation comes of the windows? [if any?]
You mention the previous owners had "appliances" in the room? were they a washing machine and a tumble dryer?
Is there any heating in this room?

Ken.
