My conservatory has been built for more than 5 yrs and has a tiled floor but I have notice that under the settee it often gets really damp. It has a damp proof but damp still comes up. I want to lay a carpet but not until the damp has been sorted. Any idea's?

what it sounds like is not damp but condensation conservatories are very prone to constant temp changes so it could be just that also tiles stop the moisture from going anywhere try moving the sofa somewhere else to see if that makes a difference

what it sounds like the sofa stops the condensation from rising and drying out the tiles cause this problems if you put a carpet in all it will do is soak up the condesation and cause the carpet to rot is the sofa a wicker or normal sofa because wicker ones are designed for conservatories because they are not as dense and allow air flow

Its a new normal sofa that you would have in the house but the one that we took out was the same and that one didn't do it! As far as I could see anyway

I think that is probably the best idea you might have to screed the floor depending on how well the tiles are stuck
