hi All,
need a bit of help please with my conservatory. i moved into the property this year Jan.

now i found out that there is sometimes water dripping from the 'cap' within my conservatory-please see picture mark with red arrow. am not sure of the correct name. the water drips from where i have placed the green arrows. i investigated and found that cap seem to collect water and then drips when full.
Question- is this normal in a conservatory of this type? this is my first conservatory so i really dont know if that is the purpose of that cap or not.

if not normal , what is the easiest way of fixing this leak as a diyer please? any advice welcome

thank you and please see pics attached

No it's not normal, mine leaks from there too.
I've had mine for many years though and it's falling apart so I'm gonna pull the whole thing down in the future.
Yours will probably need resealing again from the outside.
Speak to a specialist window/conservatory place and see what they advise.

thanks both

i will upload some pictures later today when i get home. yea i moved into this house this Jan but i think the conservatory is appx 18years old.

hi all, just an update on this. am now going to have it re roofed as i found another leak. i think the current roof has had it and to be honest too cold and too hot in winter and summer respectively .
the builder has recommended an A rated glass roof and to raise the pitch slightly, as he thinks the current pitch is too low.

can anyone give me an idea of cost for this sort of roof please? size of conservatory is 386cm long by 270cm wide. thank you

really? hmm thats confusing me now. i got 3 quotes and that was the cheapest with the highest being 8000. thanks for the reply though.

looks like the price is about right... Cosyroof also quoting appx £5400.00 but they need to do a proper survey. many thanks though
