Conservatory - Wet Rot Problem

Just moved in recently, and as you can see the conservatory needs some TLC!

No problem replacing the beading. However, the horizontal piece you can see on the photos, how will that be fixed into the timber, or should I just cut straight though and splice in a new piece. What is the easiest way to cut it out without making amess of the surrounding woodwork?

Also how would this affect it structurally.

The best way is to carefully remove all the rotten beading. Then chisel away all the rotten wood back flush with the glass and bottom panel.
Prime all bare wood surfaces and then fit replacement primed timber, the same size as what you removed, screwed into the remaining framework between the glass and the panel. Renew the beading, mastic the joints, two pack fill the screw holes and decorate.
This will then keep everything structurally sound.
This however is assuming that the rot is not all the way through to the inside.

How is the inside?

Not sure how sound the inside is yet, as I havent taken any panels out to look. From the inside it looks fine though.

When you say scre the replacement timber, is this to what is behind the rotten piece of timber?
