Constant hot water to rads!!

Halstead Ace High is heating rads up whilst in Hot Water Mode , the green central heating LED does not come on anymore just the Hot water LED
Thermostat turned to min.
Hot water to taps works fine.
Im having to turn combi off until we need hot water
Any ideas chaps??

Are you saying the HW demand LED is permanently lit?

Is your hot water now only luke warm? Sounds like diverter valve stuck if so.

If i turn combi on the burner and green hot water light come on together, but there there is no demand for H/W, the water temp if fine !!

Remove microswitch assembly and check if this is stuck in h/w demand mode. is pin on diverter valve stuck out all the time?

Sounds like you need to replace the microswitch, that is of course if the diverter valve is returning.

See if the microswitch is still being held closed. Its located at the end of the divertervalve and is connected with two pink wires.

just checked both the micro switches both are not stuck in on position, you can see the primary switch pin move and push the switch on, the h/w switch doesnt seem to move i removed it and it seems a little damp inside.......

just put it back on half way through writing this and all is working again ??

Sounds like the microswitch is shorting. Might aswell replace. Bout £15.
