hi all,im converting my existing garage into a room.what i would like to know first and foremost is as it is only single skin brickwork do i have to make it double skin or can i leave it as single sin and insulate.thanks for your help and forthcoming comments

No you don't have to make it a double skin, apply a membrane or dpm at least to the masonry though prior to insulating etc.
