Brickwork for extension question

Hi all,

I'm looking at converting my attached single story garage in to a playroom and downstairs toilet. Also, I want to extend the garage at the rear. The new extension wall will obviously be double skin with a cavity, but the garage is single skin and going to clad the inside for the insulation. Just wondering what the correct way of joining the new double skin wall to the existing single skin wall would be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
James

Keep the stud work and insulation off a half brick wall.

Keep the outer leaf off the inner leaf. always maintain a 50mm clear cavity.

So there you go, there's the golden rules, get a relevant person to design the build to comply with those rules.
