Hello, I am converting to a fully pumped, indirect, vented system from a gravity/primatic.

Below is the diagramtic layout I am considering - does it matter where the zone valves are positioned (i.e. flow side or return)?

There will be a valve for the HW circuit, and two CH zones. Each zone will be controlled with timer + stats.

Thanks!

Put the zone valves on the flow as well as the open vent and cold feed.
The vent and feed should be before the pump.

The cylinder zone valve shouldn't be allowed to close of the vent, put the valve on the cylinder flow pipe.

:)

Where's the bypass?

You will also need the return from the hot water cylinder to be last connection before boiler, not the rad's return.

The whole thing needs redrawing.

Use this as a guide on system layout. This is a standard S Plan set up, yours will be S Plan Plus. There is no bypass shown on the diagram and if required should be fitted directly after the pump and into the return. Your drawing is wrong in many respects.
