Hi,

I would like to install a cooker hood with extractor fan but I am having problem planning where the flue should go. The exterior wall has got the combi boiler flue already and a second flue going across the kitchen would look ugly.

So I am thinking about another solution in which the flue would join the chimney flue that is just behind the wall a couple of meters away...
If you see what I mean, is this legal? Possible?

Thanks!
J

not sure of the legality, i assume it is ok as long as nothing else is going up the chimney but i think you will find it wont work, domestic extractors are generally not strong enough the expel fumes right up a chimney so the fumes will go so far up then recycle back into the kitchen
