I hope someone out there can help.
The photo shows my kitchen gas hob and an xpelair wall mounted fan above it (bottom of fan 870 mm above hob).
The kitchen is single storey and has a sloping wooden faced ceiling meeting the wall approx 1150 mm (45") above the hob.
The fan isn't very good at extracting cooking steam etc and I would like to replace it with a cooker hood of some sort.
My problem is that there isn't much room above the hob for an extractor hood.
I was wondering if there was any way that I could use the existing xpelair with a hood that is supplied without a fan (but still has grease filters and a light).
Or preferably, a standard extractor hood that has a maximum height of approx 400 mm- so it would be at least 750mm above hob.
I want an extractor type not a recirculating type hood.
The maximum distance between the hob and the top of the external vent ducting would be approx 1070 mm (42")
Any suggestions for a suitable product/arrangement would be very welcome.
Thanks
