Cooker hood/ectractor

I am looking to instal cooker hood/extractor.
Can I wire this type of applaence into a plug?
If not what are my options?

your best option is if you have a cupboard next to the hood to chase a line into the cooker and run the hood off of a fuse spur in the cupboard

You must not do that do that. The cooker circuit is for, well, the cooker.

You can run a spur off the kitchen ring circuit and wire the extractor into that or put a plug on the extractor cable and pop it into a socket.

lol i didnt mean to write cooker i meant to write cupboard lol i aint that stupid hahaha
