Hi everyone
I am fitting a cooker hood and the main cable is too short, what connection do I need to join them together bearing in mind it will be fitted into the wall and tiled over. Any ideas?
:?

Kits

are available but normally I would just select some heat sleeve and crimp or solder cables the outer should be epoxy resin impregnated in the past when not available I have used some silicon sealant in final shrink.

But would it not be far easier to renew the cable?

I agree - replacing the cable would surely be the easiest option, as well as the best.

Does the cable exit the hood at the rear, i.e. where it's fixed to the wall? You could join it there, in which case it would be accessible.

it will be fitted into the wall and tiled over.
What route will the concealed cabling take?
