Hi all just got a new cooker hood I already have a fused spur with a 3amp fuse fitted and coming out of that I have 2.5 t&e, the hood had a plug which I have cut and it only has a live and netural. So is 2.5 t&e overkill going to the hood and do I just need to terminate the earth in the connection box with a wago?

Terminate the earth conductor in one of the unused terminals of the connector block ,after sleeving it green/ yellow.
The 2.5mm t&e is fine ,albeit larger than required, but that makes no difference .
Where is the choc box going to be located ?
