Hi Guys/Gals, I’m about to start a full rewire on a friends house,
Part of the kitchen wiring requires a socket or fcu for the cooker,
The cooker is gas and requires 230v for the timer & ignition,
To the left of the cooker is a sink, So I can’t put a socket there,
To the right of the cooker is a doorway, So no socket there either,
The socket or FCU cannot go directly above the cooker,
And the friend does not want to resite the cooker,
What the F**k am I suppose to do, run away,

Would really appreciate your logical responses,

Well without seeing it, it sounds like behind the cooker is the only place available? Since it's not something you'll be unplugging unless you're moving the cooker anyway, I don't see this would be a problem.

Cheers,

Howard

you could put a masterseal switch on the sink side feeding a socket behind the cooker

fit the socket under the sink in the cupboard, remove the plug from the cooker drill a small hole feed cable into cupboard reconnect plug and plug in
