Hello all, this is my first post on these forums so please be gentle.

My cooker switch seems to have given up the ghost, and I really would like a cup of tea.

Does anyone know where I could fine a replacement? All the ones at B&Q have the wrong shaped plug hole.

I have enclosed a photo for your perusal.

You're barking up the wrong tree. (well, you're barking anyway!)

Don't bother trying to replace the cooker switch as B&Q don't sell this type and they don't know anything anyway so don't ask for advice.

 Why not just buy the right kind of kettle for the socket you have. I'm sure you'll find one at a car boot sale near you.

Don't forget the tea bags, you're running low.

PS Nice tiles...

[As Hastings] GOOD LORD!

I haven't seen one of those since 1984!!

Thanks for sharing that with me!

Is the retro look back in ?

The work you intend to do should be done by someone who can test the installation afterwards, by virtue of it being in the kitchen they must be either registered to a part P scheme provider or make an application to the LABC.

Failure to do so, could invalidate your home insurance policy and lead to a fine of up to £5000.

Unfortunately the cable, socket back box and switch will need replacing.
