Copper pipe damage

Hello,

during some re-wiring I noticed that one of my CH microbore copper pipe had a small nick/scratch. The floorboard had a small piece of metal pushing against it! It is not leaking and may have been like this for years, but keen to hear your views.

Does this absolutely need to be replaced? Is there anything I can do as a DIYer to protect it instead? I have some JB Weld epoxy paste, in case it would make sense to put a drop over it? Or would thermal expansion (during heating) just cause more damage?

Probably be ok as is.
One of those things that will play on your mind I guess.
Drain pipe then clean and blob some solder on it.

Thanks for responding. I don’t have any solder, any other way for securing in a DIY friendly way? Ideally I would like to avoid to drain the system.

If the 'nick' really does bother you, carefully separate the two pipes further and then carefully wrap the nicked pipe with some thin insertion rubber and then completely enclose with a Jubilee clip

Probably overkill, but I went with a Gebo repair clamp specifically for copper pipes... seems rock solid. Spoke to my plumber, and he was not too worried about it actually. Given that the area is accessible he recommended to check it once a year or so. Thanks for everyone's response.
