Your right - I have the grey stuff around copper loads of places in my house - No corrosion whatsoever. I've even taken some out to check - No problem at all....
Neither was there anything on the tin to say not to use it around copper
twas a joke (sarcasm)

Expanding foam is NOT hot Nitric Acid - It is a pretty inert material and does NOT corrode copper pipes !
