Corner Tape vs Corner Bead

I've just finished a bunch of boarding around a new stud wall and got it ready for skim plastering. One of the plasterers who came to quote for it was not happy with the metal corner 'tape' I had used (this) and said he'd have to remove them and put a metal corner 'bead' in. The other didn't seem concerned.

Can someone in the trade educate me what the difference is and whether it's vital to use one or the other in certain situations?

stay away from the metal tape.its for special use as far as ive used it.
only use skim bead on boards
