Hi,
The fitter has finished fitting my bathroom and overall I'm happy with it. However checking the shower before wiring, I noticed a possible problem.

The instructions say don't connect from the rear, but it appears that it has been. Is this a problem?

Also there are gaps where the cable/water inlet comes through the tiles. I'm a bit miffed as I kept asking if there was enough room for the elbow, and I had to tank behind the shower as he hadn't quoted for it.

Camerart.

Probably ok as long as you seal around the pipe and cable where the come through the wall.

13. in your screenshot says its fine as long as they seal it so no water can enter from the back.

Hi,

I'll leave it, as it does sound like it may be water ingress, or I've seen in another thread that it could be strain on the unit.
Thanks.

C.

I would trust your electric shower installer as he/she will fit it to the current regulations, certify any work requiring notification and issue paperwork on completion.

It's if water runs down the back of the unit or if there is a leak, the pipe will then naturally draw to water back into the wall as the shower unit itself will not be sealed to the wall.
Seal the pipe where it passes through the wall and all should be fine.

Hi,

I tanked the wall before tiling, and sealed the holes in the tiles.

Thanks. C.
