Corsa (Reset Service warning)

Does anyone know how to reset the service warning that is now displayed in the trip mileage display.
This is a Y reg, my mechanic has serviced the car but does not know how to reset this.

If I have got my info correct there should be a button in the instrument pod between the speedo and the fuel gauge.
Press and hold the button.
Switch the ignition on.
The display in the pod should flash for 2 secs.
Keep the button pressed until "----" appears in the display
Release the button.
Turn the ignition off.

i have an astra does similar, press the "milometer" button when you turn on ignition

by milometer button, i mean the one you press (if you want to) to find out say how far from your place to Auntie marys new house, you would push the button to reset the reading to zero and when you arrive at aunt marys house it will be showing the number of miles you have driven
