We are Getting an extension built and are waiting on a quote from out builder for a patio. We are supplying the tile, but what kind of price can I expect for lifting an existing patio ( flag stones ) prepping and re-tiling. Approx 26 sq metre.

We've also asked for a short garden wall, approx 18m long & 30 cm high to go around the garden flower boarders. Again any idea of likely cost.

Do you know how the original slabs were laid? Only when I lifted part of my patio, the clown who laid it put it on 1:3 concrete up to 3" thick, every joint had to be cut through with a disc cutter, then only about 50% of the slabs came out scar free after knocking the concrete off to reuse them.

Pretty sure its sharp sand underneath & no concrete. We lifted a flag a couple of years ago to put a washing line pole in.

what ever the builder says, is what it costs, hes seen the job nobody here has, prices vary from area to area, 18m is not a short wall
just get 3 quotes from 3 recommended builders
