Could I ask you to have a look this photos...

Its not a call out charge! Its a fixed price diagnostic charge.

But it only applies in our primary area, not the whole of London.

Picture 3 is a bit worrying! The rad seems to have become completely detached from the wall!

I suspect there is more to this than we have been told! A DIY job gone wrong? Or a cowboy walked off the job? ( never offered any cup of tea? )

They are radiators by a company called Faral.

Very efficient although a little weird looking. Dont be duped into thinking you need bigger rads. These things chuck out an amazing amount of heat compared to their surface area. Its a very clever design (apparently!)

Worst trait is that they leak from the large O rings top and bottom at either end.
I once went to a job where the guy worked for them and he gave me a stack of spare O rings but dont know where I put them and havent worked on one for several years now. Had several estates of them about 10 years back

you used to get those rads from vokera in enfield, kal rad was another brand name.yes they were made of aluminium max amount of sections was 23 left and right handed nipples sealed with some gasket.

I have seen these quite often - they are Ally, so watch what you put in them.

We've been using Adey's Detox with very impressive results thus far.

Adey have told me that it is fine for Ally.

Dan most of the big names are O.K.

Sentinel, Fernox infact I cannot think of one that isnt as most cater for alloy heat Ex's now.
