Hello guys,

I'm after a little advice please.

This time of year, how long would you guys normally wait for a 65mm screed to dry, before tiling?

If a fresh screed is being laid, would you expect it ready to tile, or would you lay a self level ling compound for a excellent finish?

The area is 45SQM.

Thank in advance

depends on the screed. is it a pumped(anhydrite) or traditional sand\cement one? and how thick?

the normal rule of thumb is a week per inch, but thats a very rough guide.

does it have piped underfloor heating?

Thanks for coming back to me.

It will no doubt be a sand and cement screed @ 65mm thick.

There is no underfloor heating.

Any thoughts on the SLC?

Thanks in advance

James

should need it really.

officially a traditional screed dries at approx 1mm per day. can be faster in the summer but this time of year.....

Thanks for the response,

Does that however mean that it would be 65 days before tiling?

Thanks

James
