Hi

We recently had long bush removed from back garden. It’s made a big difference in restoring a fair bit of patio that was previously covered.

My question is dealing with the exposed border. The roots of the bushes are still there and will obviously grow back. However, the rest is just compacted soil, which is quite a few inches taller than the patio.

Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

A 1-2 high brick wall outside the edge of the patio to retain the earth?

Path/lawn edging? Log rolls are cheap or sleepers or the brick rope effect type jobbies

Thanks v much. I’m also not sure what to do with the border itself. Ie turn it over and plant grass seeds or a few flowers etc. (We don’t mind the bushes growing back, as will control them this time?)
