Hi All,

Background -
I'm going to create a countertop in my ensuite. the countertop is going to stretch the length of one wall (1.5m). I'll then sit a free standing handbasin on it. I'm going to create a front panel, under the counter top to conceal the basin pipes and toilet cistern.

Now to the issue I'm asking about

I'm not sure how to decorate the front panel of the 'false wall'. I know i dont want to tile it, as i want to the option to put in a cupboard. So i was thinking of using marine ply and then covering it with a plastic veneer, like formica, or maybe using a single sheet of white acrylic?

Help, any ideas what the best / cheapest option might be!? Any issues with either approach?
