Hi, I have a plug socket that I want removed but it's on a ring and the cable goes up the wall into the ceiling which is a flat roof extension, I'd rather not start cutting away the ceiling. Is there a way to plaster in the socket safely? Thanks

Hoping to cover it with Plaster if possible
Then you have to remove the cables from the wall. You must not have live cables in a wall, unless there is something to denote the presence of the cable (socket, switch, blank plate, etc).

Obviously the point is that they should NOT be invisible, to prevent lethal injuries.

You mention you don't want to disturb the ceiling.

What about making a hole in the wall within 150mm from the ceiling, find the cables, and do the joint within 150mm from the ceiling (safe zone).

OK Thanks for the reply's, will try some of the suggestions.
