Hi
We are in the process of decorating our bedroom. As part of the preparation I have filled all the holes and sanded down. Some of these holes are fairly big (1" diameter), such as where the nails holding the plasterboard onto to ceiling have pushed the plaster out).

Some of the ceiling surrounding these repairs has been sanded back to almost bare plaster. I have given my ceiling a coat of dulux Matt emulsion and these repaired areas are still very noticeable. I am going to give it a second coat this evening but I still fear these repairs will be visible.

Any tips on covering these repaired areas?

TIA

Use a good quality filler, fill the hole and leave it slightly proud, sand down with a 120 grit paper and maybe finish with 180g if reqd.

Your decorators merchant will supply you with abrasive paper by the metre so you don't have to buy too much.

Use a good quality filler, Toupret is v good, again available from a decorators merchant (not B&Q or Homebase etc)

Use a sanding block.
