Hi all just noticed a stair type crack on the exterior of my house running through the mortar at the top corner few courses down from the guttering wondered if it’s something to be worried about or best way to fix it we’ve just purchased the property so unsure how long it’s being this way thanks

Is it nothing serious with the cracks running diagonally through the mortar especially as it’s at a top corner thanks

Thanks woody what is your background your responses always seem to make me feel better about problems I’m coming up against

Hi background is 34,000 posts on this forum and 4,500 thanks. I would suggest he has half an idea what he is talking about and no just some eejit passing by.

Oh and if forum "expetise" isn't what you were after, then probably best not to ask in an internet forum.

Was genuinely asking woodys background not being funny I ask for advice on here and take it all onboard thanks

Well, it's a long story.

Are you familiar with the movie Highlander?

Turns out both @^woody^ and @tony1851 are bored immortals... They've both taken on various guises throughout time, from archimedes to isambard kingdom brunel, joseph bazalgette, scotty from star trek...

To quote a role model of mine "The details of my life are quite inconsequential... "

Some of his finest work was the rebuild following the great fire. Although your work on the great wall was equally impressive

Helped out a bit in the Cuban revolution and does knitting. Then posts sarcasm on a building forum in his spare time.
