Hi all,
I was walking around my house (built in 2018) yesterday afternoon to inspect the condition of the guttering ahead of the predicted storms and noticed quite a few sporadic cracks in the mortar of the exterior wall (shown in the pictures). They don’t seem to be confined to one specific area but are present in around 7 to 8 locations across the 3 exterior walls (semi detached house). I have never noticed them before but then I’ve never specifically gone looking at the exterior walls. Do you think this is structural and requires attention?

It could be shrinkage /expansion due to the extreme heat we have been experiencing. Which direction do the two wall face?

It looks like heat/weather related expansion. Its horizontal lines you should be looking out for.

If it is heat/weather related expansion, do the cracks or the walls need to be repointed?
