I removed old vinyl tiles from my floor about a month ago. At the time I noticed that there were some cracks, and in places it sounded hollow. (Normally just where the cracks are appearing.) Since then the cracks have gotten worse, although this could be my imagination.

The house is a 1930's built semi, and the concrete floor is a reddish brown colour.

Any idea what could be causing this? Who should I call to have a look at it?

We are planing on laying floor tiles, and having left one of the samples on the bottom of the floor I noticed a fair amount of condensation under it. (This only happens with this specific tile, and not with others.)

Thanks for any assistance.
