I agree with you that people are too quick to blame and sue rather than look for a way just getting on with it.
Although I do think SBR is much more flexible than PVA we have probably each stated our case for our favoured method, and will stick to it, so not much point going over it again, we can let the OP pick the bones out of it and see what he does
