Hi

I have sold my house but have the surveyor round next week. I am panicking about some cracks in the front upper bay window that have been there for as long as I can remember. I live on a main road and these are the only major cracks internally and externally. The plater above the window is coming away and the cracks go from under the windowsill down the wall on both sides. Any advice please?

If you push dose it move along cracks? If so needs boarding over.
If not rake out with old screwdriver. Fill and sand. Toupret powder filler

Yes you would be wise to cancel the surveyor whilst you go all out to fill the cracks, blend the area in smooth and then redecorate the whole room, including ceiling and woodwork.
